COVID-19
What we are doing!

Following the Government announcement on 19th January 2022,

the UK is returning to plan A on the 27th January 2022

It is important we all continue to take coronavirus (COVID19) seriously, therefore to ensure the safety of our instructors and customers, all of our driver training will continue to be operated under our strict safety policy.

Although you no longer need to wear a face covering, you should consider wearing one in crowded, enclosed spaces, this is at the discretion of our trainers and you may still be required to wear them in the training vehicles, unless you are exempt from wearing a face covering.

Our trainers will also respect your request for them to wear a face covering should you wish them to wear one.

The DVSA still require all test candidates to wear a face mask when attending a practical test. We are still awaiting further guidance from the DVSA and NASP on when we will be returning to normal lessons and tests.

Our measures are as follows:

Customers will be contacted ahead of each lesson (even if you  have seen your trainer/instructor within the last couple of days).

  • You will be asked if you have any symptoms

  • You will be asked if anyone you know, or have been in contact with, is showing symptoms

We will need to take a few extra precautionary measures during your lesson to keep you, and everyone safe.

You will be asked:

  • To have your temperature taken with our non-contact infrared thermometer

  • To wash your hands with liquid anti virus soap and/or use alcohol based sanitiser gel just prior to getting into the car with our anti virus onboard sanitising facilities

  • To wear a multilayered face covering or FFP2/3 face mask (non- valved type), if you don’t have your own they are available from your instructor before entering the car

  • To cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing – so a sleeve or tissue, not your hands

You will be advised:

  • We will keep a window open for ventilation

We also have some other housekeeping to do in order to help protect you and our trainers/instructors:

Before our clients enter the vehicle, we will ensure that we have wiped over the following contact points:

Door handles (inside and out), window controls, seat adjusters, steering wheel and steering wheel height adjuster, parking brake, gear lever, indicator, wiper stalks and light controls with alcohol-based gel and/or anti-virus wipes at the beginning and end of each training session.

You and your loved ones' welfare and safety is paramount, we will continue to adopt these measures until we are advised it is safe not to.
